Liberty can’t believe it when she doesn’t make the Girls Floor Hockey team – she’s never failed at anything. So when Coach Hatzilakos asks her to be the Team Manager, Liberty throws all her energy into managing. She starts by approaching Joey Jeremiah as a sponsor for team uniforms. The catch is that the Boys Basketball team has also asked Joey for sponsorship. And they want Liberty to back off. Instead, she challenges the boys to a floor hockey game. The winner gets the sponsorship and the losers get laundry duty for a week.

Ms. Hatzilakos refuses to coach the girls in a grudge match but Liberty is all too happy to take on the role. Using Napoleon as her inspiration, she’s poised for victory – whatever it takes. But during the big game, Liberty goes too far. The team calls it quits and walks out, leaving her all alone. It’s up to Liberty to admit she went overboard in her need to win and to act like a real coach and get the girls back into the game. Although they lose to the boys, they do win the respect of Joey, who pays for their new jerseys. Liberty finds herself applauded and, perhaps more importantly, accepted for the first time.

But when Paige and Hazel discover that Terri’s made a mistake, they decide to have a little fun at her expense. Until Ashley clues Terri in and the two of them turn the tables on the scheming duo.
